About Vulcan Engineering 

Established in 1967 by Paul Blanchot, Vulcan Engineering have been there at the forefront of engine building with a high propensity for Ford products. In particular, we specialise in the traditional range of Kent engines; both Pre-Crossflow and Crossflow, through to Pintos, Lotus Twin Cam and the current strain of more modern power plants such as Zetec and Duratec.
There is a heavy bias towards Historic motorsport, competitive track-day usage but we can also successfully build engines more in keeping with restoring your car to its former glory – something that’s becoming increasingly important to our wide range of customers.
Performance engines may well be our speciality but we can also offer cylinder head restoration and are  renowned as one of the leading specialists in cylinder head development – proudly, we can say, ALL of our cylinder head work is done in house.
We have a world-wide reputation for Ford engine work; having built up a clientele over the past 50 years, with customers from all around the world, such as Portugal, Belgium, Spain, Australia and Zimbabwe. We also have a vast amount of experience with other makes too; offering repairs and spares for all types of vehicles. Consequently, we have the ability to modify any cylinder head from exotic Ferraris and Lamborghinis to Ford, Alfa Romeo - in fact, the list is almost endless.
Since 1967, we have built winning engines for Hot rods, Superstox, Slick 50 challenge, Clubman Racers, rally cars - both gravel and tarmac, along with non-competition; everyday road going cars.

Deliberately keeping the company small means we are proud to carry on the tradition offering a personal service to our increasing customer base.
